Cheryl Smith Associates has been in business for over 20 years. The company started with an emphasis on hotel and restaurant interior design and then moved towards residential design. We started out but did not limit ourselves to western North Carolina, upper South Carolina markets, and Georgia.

Cheryl Smith has been a designer since 1980, opening her business in 1983. From 1983 to 1989 she specialized in hospitality work and then broadened her range with medical, institutional, educational and high end residential. Cheryl graduated from the American Business and Fashion Institute in Charlotte, NC. She is a professional member of ASID, NCIDQ certified, and currently working to get legislation in NC and SC for the interior design profession. Karla McFadden is originally from Charlotte and she has been with Cheryl Smith Associates for 8 years.  Her customer service background and problem solving abilities prepare her to manage your projects.  She handles subcontractors and coordinates everything from window treatments to furniture and accesories.  Email Karla

Audrey recently relocated to the Western NC Mountains from Alabama. She graduated from Auburn University with a Bachelors degree in Interior Design. Audrey is currently working towards becoming an NCIDQ Certified Designer. Email Audrey
